Senate President David Mark on Thursday called for check on the use of the social media in the country. He says that Naija peeps use facebook, twitter, bbm and the rest to misyarn and spoil the image of their leaders.

In his words, “we need to change our attitude on how we report things about our country, and we should emulate the foreign reporters, who never report negative things about their countries.”

The Special Adviser to Presido on Special Duties and Social Development Matters, Mrs Sarah Pane, also added fire to the matter saying: "This is not the type of record we want. Let's use the social media for positive interaction."
