A partially confirmed report says that the two-time African greatest footballer, Rashidi Yekini, has gone mad.

The gist says Rashidi Yekini now walks the streets of Ibadan barefooted. "At least en never naked". Rashidi is said to suffer delusions, a neurological illness.

More confirmations came from Neighbors at his Oni and Sons Ring Road residence in Ibadan. They say he's been acting strange for some time now, always seen talking to himself.

Jim Iyke was arrested by the Police on Wednesday in Abuja for driving a vehicle with tinted glass.

Wizkid's Car Snatched By Armed Robbers At Gunpoint

The fast rising Nigerian artist, Wizkid, was attacked by armed bandits at about 8PM Saturday March 5, 2011 in which they made away with his car.

Sources says Wizkid was on Ikorodu road, Lagos, on his way home, when the "Men of the underworld" paid him some attention.

Akwa-Ibom: Witchcraft Panel Visits Victims Graves

A conclusion has been reached in the fact-finding trip in Eket communities by the Judicial Commission of Inquiry into Witchcraft Accusations and Child Abuses raised by Akwa Ibom government.

The panel which consists of six members, visited Afaha Ekpenedi community in Esit Eket where people accused of witchcraft were allegedly buried alive in 2008.

They met with a Survivor, at the Child Rights and Rehabilitation Network (CRARN) Centre for abandoned children. The survivor (name witheld) is a Junior Secondary Student.

Lagos: Fire Burns Berger Auto Market

Saturday the 5th day of March, recorded an ugly incident in which no fewer than 10 vehicles were razed down.

This was as a result of a massive fire that destroyed a portion of Las Vegas Park at Berger Motors, in Kirikiri area of Lagos State.

Eye witness at the event says the fire which started around 4pm, had a refuse dump as the source. Vehicles undergoing repairs at a close by mechanic workshop got the first hit from the fire.

Egyptian Man Names His Child "Facebook"

I suppose we'll never see a MySpace Smith or a Quora Doe (unless it's in a first-person sci-fi shooter on a gaming console), but Facebook can now add yet another "first" to its already impressive series of accomplishments: First child.

Facebook didn't have a baby. Rather, the Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram is reporting that 20-something Jamal Ibrahim has decided to name his daughter "Facebook" Jamal Ibrahim in honor of the service that helped anti-government protests overthrow Egyptian dictator Muhammad Hosni Sayyid Mubarak.

Nigerian Jailed For £1.3m Scam By UK Court

The Inner London Crown Court has sentenced a Nigerian immigrant, Olaide Taiwo, to eight-and-a-half years imprisonment for stealing the identities of 350 people to claim £1.3m in bogus tax credits.
In what was described as the largest benefit scam of its kind, Taiwo 35 was said to have hijacked the identities while working as a security guard for a number of large national companies, Daily Mail reported on Thursday.
