Mavin Records First Lady Tiwa Savage was "arrested" by the police for allegedly humiliating a policeman who stopped her after she violated some Lagos traffic laws in front of Eko Hotels and Suites Victoria Island, on Saturday.

"You dey craze, you dey mad, ur papa" and the list of possible conversations went down between Tiwa and the police, but yawa only gassed when she angrily removed the policeman's cap. At that point she was taken to the Victoria Island Police Division, for assaulting the policeman.

Group publicist for Mavin Records, Terfa Tilley-Gyado, confirmed the incident:

“What would you like to know? We are planning to prepare an official statement; definitely not at this time. The press release will be out on Monday for your Tuesday production. I don’t think it will be prudent to use the story until you have the official statement. That is just my own opinion. I think you should wait until you get the official statement,” he said.
