Reports say that Ghanaian footballer John Paintsil has been arrested by the police for stabbing his wife in the eye. The Defender of the country's Black Stars of Ghana had a quarrel with his wife Richlove Paintsil, which resulted in some in-house gbege.

John Paintsil's wife was said to have scaled over the fence into their neighbor's home to seek safety from him. The police later arrested John Paintsil after the neighbors called them.

The footballer who was one of the Ghanian players in the last AFCON 2013, would be charged for assault.
