This year's Star Quest competition would be seeing a new beautiful judge, Nigeria's famous singer Waje, whose real name is Aituaje Iruobe. Waje's position as the new judge to replace Freeze of Cool FM, was made public via an announcement by NB PLC,corporate adviser ,Mr Yusuf Ageni.

The singer would be joining the other judges who are Paul Play and Kcee.

Auditions for this year's edition would take place from February 21 to March 8 in Markurdi, Enugu Benin and Lagos. The mega prize for the winning band is N7.5 Million recording contract,N3.6 Million cash and a brand new mini van.
