There was an odd situation in Ondo town, as residents of the area found the body of a day old baby boy thrown into a gutter.

The incident which attracted many inhabitant of the town to the area, caused some traffic hold up as people scrambled to catch a glimpse of the baby boy believed to be a day-old that was dumped into a water channel in the area.

In an interview with reporters, a man who gave his identity as Mr. Michael Adegunloye and claimed to be the general chairman of the Amalgamation of Commercial Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (ACCOMORAN) in the area said the report got to him through one of his members who contacted him on his handset.

Adeguloye, however stated that shortly after arriving at the scene of the incident  which he said occurred few meters away from their park, he immediately went to the Enuowa Divisional Police station Ondo, to report the incident.

He added that as soon as the report was made, the Divisional Police Officer ( DPO) in charge of the station , Mr. David Ehighale, a Deputy Superintendent of Police ( DSP) and the Crime officer ( DCO), Mr. Adetanrami immediately visited the place
Confirming  Adegunloye’s statement, the Enuowa Divisional DPO, Mr. David Ehighale confirmed the report of the incident and stated that the police have made all necessary arrangement towards addressing the issue while the report of the incident has been sent to the appropriate quarters.
