The politics in Edo State has taken another headline as the Oba of Benin, Om n’Oba Erediauwa, yesterday shunned the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) delegation which paid a courtesy visit to him in his palace.

Yesterday there was a report that Governor Adams Oshiomhole’s convoy was attacked on Thursday night. Below is a statement from Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr Louis Odion, saying what happened. They believe the attack was from thugs loyal to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state. They attacked the governor’s convoy with heavy gun shots shortly after his visit to the Onogie of Usen,  His Royal Highness Oluogbe 11,at his palace.
