The gates of University of Lagos were shut down by Police men who stormed the school few hours ago, shooting and throwing tear gas.

The protest was meant to continue today as planned over the change of name to Moshood Abiola University.

All this kasala for a name?

Let what is to be get to be. Students are hereby advised to desist from further protests. Unilag is a FG institution & belongs not to Lagos State Govt. Students, go & read your books. Thank God, the Bashorun & Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba Land is finally immortalised. Abiola remains our man. Goodluck Jonathan has done goodly. Come June 12, MAULAG shall celebrate.
