JAMB Releases 2013 Official Results Statistics



The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde has announced the statistics concerning the Results for the 2013 JAMB UTME conducted on 27th April.

The registrar said after thorough processing of answer scripts of the candidates who sat for the examination, the board discovered some forms of malpractice perpetuated during the conduct of the examination.

According to the statistics released by the registrar,

- A total of 1,629,102 candidates applied to sit for the Paper Pencil Test (PPT)

- 15,008 candidates applied for the Dual Based Test

- 1,644,110 is the total number that sat for the exam.

- 10 candidates scored 300 marks and above.

- 127,017 candidates scored between 1-159 marks

- 40,692 candidates'' results were invalid due to either multiple shading or no shading at all.

- 40 centres would be screened to ascertain their culpability

- 47,974 candidates were absent.

Well I think I got the idea behind the mass failure.those people that used the so called solution are the major victims of failure.and I think this kind of thing should keep happening maybe that is what will discourage students from malpractice and they will understand they have to work hard to earn anything good in life

"40 centres wld be screened" what a population? well Mr Registrar do ur best to ensure that hardworking Victors don't end up victims of failure. Honestly is true that youths are not really studying and most of them see going to higher institutions as fashion not as a vision they ought to work hard for.
